Project Description
Date: 13 June 2025
Participants: 25, including students of various ages and ethnic backgrounds from Namuna Mahila Vidyalaya.
Key Highlights:
The session began with an introductory presentation on menstrual hygiene and the benefits of reusable cloth pads. Participants then engaged in a hands-on workshop, learning how to select and cut fabric, assemble layers, and stitch pads correctly. Trainers provided individual guidance, ensuring each participant could complete at least one pad during the session. The program emphasized using readily available materials and simple techniques to make production at home feasible.

Impact:
By the end of the session, participants were able to independently produce reusable cloth pads, understanding both the practical techniques and the hygiene principles involved. Many expressed confidence in replicating the process at home and sharing it with family members. The workshop also fostered a safe environment to discuss menstrual health openly, helping reduce stigma and encouraging participants to see sustainable solutions as accessible and achievable.
