Key Highlights:

• The session began with introductions of all facilitators and participants.
• A brief overview in Nepali explained the purpose of the class and the activities planned for the day.
• A YouTube video, with Nepali translation, demonstrated the process of making compost to provide a clear visual guide.
• Volunteers then conducted a live demonstration of compost-making, using all the required materials.
• Participants engaged in a question-and-answer session and shared their personal experiences with waste management.

Impact:

• Participants learned the practical steps of making compost, gaining hands-on skills they can apply at home.
• Awareness of waste management and sustainable practices was increased among the women.
• The interactive and visual approach helped reinforce understanding and encouraged participants to share their experiences.
• The session fostered engagement, discussion, and confidence in addressing household waste challenges.
• By documenting the session with photos, the activity also provided a reference for participants and a model for future community-based initiatives.
