Project Description

  • Date & Location: 30 September 2024, at the office of Himshikhara Socio Cultural Society, Panipokhari – 9 Lazimpat.
  • Purpose: The roundtable, organized by the HISCUS  with Merose Hwang (a U.S.-based professor of South Korean origin), provided a platform for six female representatives from Nepalese NGOs to share insights on women’s experiences and history in Nepal. The professor presented a paper on “Blinded Gendered Atrocities During the Cold War,” which sparked broader discussion on gendered violence and women’s vulnerabilities. The event also facilitated networking among participants and offered the NGO an opportunity to showcase its work.
  • Participants: 6 women from various NGOs, with expertise and experience related to women’s rights and gender issues.

Next Steps
