Key Highlights:
The two-day workshop combined demonstrations and hands-on practice. Participants learned about soap ingredients, safe handling, and step-by-step production methods. Each participant engaged in mixing, molding, and packaging processes, guided by international volunteers and representatives from H. Group discussions were also held to explore ideas for small-scale entrepreneurship using the skills learned.
Participants:
- Day 1 – 18 student participants
- Day 2 – 15 student participants
- Total: 33 student participants over two days.
Impact:
- Participants successfully created handmade soap using locally sourced materials and gained the confidence to replicate the process independently. The training inspired several to consider soap-making as a practical home-based activity or potential income source. Feedback highlighted enthusiasm for continuing similar vocational sessions in the future.
