Date: 5-6 June 2024
Key Highlights:
- The two-day vocational training program at ‘Namuna Mahila Vidyalaya’ was a training program at Women School, organized by HISCUS in collaboration with an NGO, aimed to empower women by imparting practical skills.
- Day 1 saw participation from 20 students, 6 teachers, 2 international volunteers, and 2 NGO representatives. Participants were instructed in soap-making using readily available materials. Groups of five were guided through the process by dedicated teachers.

- On Day 2, attended by 24 students, volunteers, and NGO representatives, the finished soap products were showcased and distributed, accompanied by certificates of participation. Feedback highlighted the training’s value beyond skill development, emphasizing social interaction and income-generating potential for participants, primarily housewives. The event underscored the effectiveness of vocational training in empowering women and fostering community engagement.
